"The Yin Yang Master," a Chinese film featuring foton inc.’s Age Reduction VFX was released on Netflix in March 2021 and has ranked #2 in “NETFLIX: Today’s Movie TOP10 (Japan)” as soon as the film was introduced.

The entire VFX of this movie was led and directed by none other than John Hughes, the former president of Rhythm and Hues Studios, with the members at his new company in China, Tau Films. As the former president of the globally renowned VFX Powerhouse, Rhythm and Hues Studios, the very company that directed the VFX of numerous hit movies such as; "The Chronicles of Narnia," "Life of Pi," and "Django Unchained,” John Hughes is considered one of the most influential VFX personnel who is actively contributing to the film industry around the world.





The subject of this Age Reduction VFX was Zhou Xun (周迅), one of the four major Chinese actresses, alongside Xu Jinglei (徐静蕾), Zhao Wei (趙薇), and Zhang Ziyi (章子怡) and the first Chinese actress to sweep the awards; Hong Kong Film Awards, Hundred Flowers Awards, Golden Horse Awards, Golden Rooster Awards, and Asian Film Awards Actress Awards. Although Zhou Xun's Age Reduction VFX scene was relatively short compared to the movie in general, it left a very strong impression at the very beginning of the film.

Born in October 1974, and celebrating her 47th birthday this year, Zhou Xun made her first movie debut shortly after being discovered at the age of 17 in 1991. Since then, she has starred in numerous movies, dramas, and advertisements, and has been highly acclaimed around the world for her acting ability ever since.

Thus, as with Jackie Chan's past Age Reduction VFX project, Age Reducing Zhou Xun over 20 years old had to be executed with the most detailed and delicate work, to convince her fans around the world. As a result of our work, John Hughes reached out directly to express his appreciation for the quality of our VFX scenes and discussed with us, the prospects of his new project.
